Apaj and\u00a0Apajpuszta<\/strong>, is part of the Kiskuns\u00e1g National Park, under the name of Upper Kiskuns\u00e1g Puszta which is the country’s second biggest white alkali puszta.
\nThe area’s most precious natural treasure is the big puszta bird, the bustard.
\nThe plants of the Puszta tolerate salt. In the maintenance of the aboriginal sward the extensive breeding of the primordial Hungarian animal species has the leading part. Here live the grey cattle, the racka and cig\u00e1ja sheep which can be visited in Nagy\u00e1ll\u00e1s. A noteworthy event in Apajpuszta is the Kiskuns\u00e1g Herdsmen\u2019s and Horse-riders\u2019days. It is held at the last weekend of July when the old herdmen\u2019s and horseriders\u2019 traditions are reproduced within a spectacular show. Near the performance there is a stable with roof.<\/p>\n
