Áporka

The reformed church was built in 1784 by the plans of József Jung. The tower was built a bit later, in 1837 by Antal Holup’s plan.
In the old cemetery of Áporka beautifully carved wooden headboards can be seen, most of them were made by the reputed wood-carver family of Áporka, the Márton dynasty. This antique profession is still alive in the village.
